GP Speciality Trainee As we are a training practice, we usually have a GP Specialty Trainee working with us. The GP Speciality Trainee is a fully qualified doctor, with wide experience in hospital-based specialties, who is spending time undertaking further training in general practice.
THE NURSING STAFF Practice Nurses The surgery has an experienced team of practice nurses lead by our Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Suzanne Geraghty.
The Practice Nurses are all Registered Nurses who have undertaken further training and nursing qualifications and who provide nursing care to the practice population via their own appointment system. They will see patients for general advice, health promotion, asthma care, family planning, well woman and well man checks, travel health advice, blood tests, ear syringing, dressings, injections and blood pressure checks. They can refer patients to other healthcare professionals as appropriate. Our Minor Illness Nurses run Clinics each day and are qualified to prescribe a range of medications. Please inform reception why you need an appointment as the nurses could be the most appropriate clinician for you to see.
